© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma 17 December 2001 Charlie A. Duncan Duncan, Charlie A., 97, of Del City, died Dec. 12, 2001. He was born Feb. 28, 1904, in Noble, OK, to William F. and Stella Mae [Murphy] Duncan. He touched many lives by faithfully serving God as an ordained Baptist minister. In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes with friends and family, and listening to the Gaithers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby Duncan; one son, Lee Duncan; two daughters, Marietta Clark and Carolyn Emberling; one grandson, Jim Clark; one sister, Beulah Ball; and one brother, Albert Duncan. He is survived by two sons and two daughters: Charles W. Duncan and wife, Michelle, of Oklahoma City, Sam Duncan of Bristow, OK, Mae McClure of Midwest City, and Sharon Tollison and husband, Tom, of Del City. He is also survived by one sister, Jewel Anderson, of Plano, TX; by 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; and by special friends and family, who made him feel loved. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Oklahoma County. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. at Wilmont Place Baptist Church, 6440 S. Santa Fe, Oklahoma City, with burial services at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha, OK. Services are under the direction of Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuaries. |
