© The Chickasha Daily Express November 1942 Dale Cocheran Horse's Kick Kills Boy, 3 Dale Cocheran, 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wick Cocheran, Route 1, Chickasha, was killed instantly about 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon when he was kicked in the chest by a horse while playing in the barn lot at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Church of Christ, under the direction of the rown Funeral Home. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Cocheran family has lived in Grady County since 1908, coming here at that time from Kentucky. In addition to the parents, surviving relatives include two brothers, Wylie and Lonnie, at home, and a grandmother, Mrs. Clarinda Cocheran of Chickasha. © The Chickasha Daily Express November 1942 Dale Cocheran Last Rites Held For Kick Victim Funeral services for Dale Cocheran, 3, were conducted at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Church of Christ by Waldo Proffitt , under the direction of the Brown Funeral Home. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Wick Cocheran, Route1, Chickasha. The child was kicked in the chest by a horse Thursday afternoon while playing in the barn lot and died immediately. Music for the services was furnished by Mrs. Floyd Gateka, Mrs. M.A. Nikkel, Mrs. Sam __oggins, Mrs. Henry Paddock, ___y Finley and Taylor Roy Finley, whose selections wee "Safe in The Arms of Jesus, "Rock of Ages" and "Asleep in Jesus." In addition to the parents, surviving relatives include two brothers, Wylie and Lonnie, at the home, and a grandmother, Mrs. Clarinda Cocheran of Chickasha. |
