© The Chickasha Daily Express 18 January 1953 George Graham Calvert Funeral services have been set for 4 p.m. Sunday in the First Christian Church for George G. Calvert, 90, who died in a Ponca City hospital around 9 p.m. Friday. Mr. Calvert had been a resident of Chickasha since 1905. He entered the hardware business in the early days and later owned and operated a loan and real estate business. He moved to Ponca City to retire three years ago. Mr. Calvert had a heart attack last Tuesday. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Chickasha. Rev. William E. Wright, pastor of the church, will officiate at the services. Mr. Calvert is survived by his wife Viola and two step-daughters, Mrs. Fleta Brownson of Chickasha and Mrs. Johnnie Boggs of Arkansas City, Kansas. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Chickasha Funeral Home. |

© The Chickasha Daily Express Friday, October 26, 1973 Viola Beard [Donellan] Calvert Mrs. George D. Calvert, 85, 1401 Highland Drive, Ponca City, formerly of Chickasha, died at 12:25 pm Thursday in a Ponca City Hospital. Graveside rites were to be at 4:30 pm today in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier's Funeral Home. Mrs. Calvert was born June 13, 1888, in Pratt, Kan. She came to Chickasha in 1911 from Enid. She was married in December, 1913, to George D. Calvert in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1953. Mrs. Calvert was a member of the First Christian Church in Chickasha. She had resided in Ponca City for the past six years. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Arta Boggs of Arkansas City, Kan.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. © The Chickasha Daily Express Sunday, Oct. 28, 1973 Mrs. George D. Pallbearers were Bob Kayser, Dale Hoover, Harry Pitzer, Grant Gibson, Russell Long, and Julius Burtschi. Interment was under direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
