© The Chickasha Express-Star 7 July 2004 Karen Kay [King] Brown Funeral service for Karen Kay Brown, age 54, of Moore, Oklahoma, formerly of Chickasha, was held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kim Domnick officiated.
Karen was born the daughter of Frank Emanuel King and Ruth Seamands King on December 31, 1950, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She died on July 3, 2004, in Moore, Oklahoma. Karen grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1969. After graduation, she attended Oklahoma State University for two years. She later moved to Tulsa and married David Brown on March 17, 1972. After several years in Tulsa, Karen moved back to Chickasha. While in Chickasha, she was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Chickasaw Nation. For the past six years, Karen lived in Moore, Oklahoma, at the Hillcrest Living Center, where she was dearly loved. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Frank Emanuel King. Survivors include her daughter, Natalie Brown Louis of Dallas, Texas; mother, Ruth Seamands King of Chickasha; sister, Kathleen King Parker of Lufkin, Texas; brother, Joe King of Kingwood, Texas; and brother, Richard Frank of Noble, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, P. O. Box 95245, and to the Hillcrest Living Center, 2120 N. Broadway, Moore, OK 73160. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
