Baker, 80, of Benson, Arizona, former Chickasha resident will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2005 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Clyde A. Baker was born September 7, 1924 in Norge, Oklahoma the son of Grover and Mary Ann [Winstone] Baker and died April 20, 2005 in Tucson, Arizona. Mr. Baker served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Treva Jones December 29, 1948. Mr. Baker worked for Amarada Seismograph Company and later owned and operated Chevron Service Station at St. Michael's, Arizona for over 20 years. He retired to Benson, Arizona in 1987. He was preceded in death by: twin sons, parents, and two brothers: Edward and Eldon Baker. Survivors include: wife: Treva Baker of the home in Arizona; three sons: Leslie Baker and wife Vicky of Sierra Madre, CA, Kim Baker of Tucson, AZ, Jeff Baker and wife Tracy of Tucson, AZ; two grandsons: Jeffery and Dennis Baker; two sisters: Lalla Antinoro of Tampa, FL, Betty Day of Norman, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday in the Community Room of Sevier Funeral Home. |

Baker, age 79, of Chickasha will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Hatfield will officiate. Charles J. Baker was born the son of Louis Horatio Baker and Susan Marshall Baker on August 18, 1930, in Covington, Kentucky. He died December 11, 2009, in Oklahoma City. Charles entered the United States Army as a young man. He was based at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma where he met Patsy Adeline Amstutz. They were married on December 9, 1950, in Chickasha where they made their home. In 1951, he served overseas in the Korean War and finished his duty in Washington. Charles returned to Chickasha and continued his service in the United States Army Reserves with thirty-three years of service. He enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors, and growing flowers. Charles especially loved his association with the residents and staff at Glenhaven Retirement Village. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Susan Baker, two brothers, one sister, and one daughter Patsy "Patty" Angela Baker. Survivors include: Wife: Patsy Baker of the home;on and Wife: Charles and Leisa Baker of Tulsa; Daughter and Husband: Brenda and David Thompson of Oklahoma City; Son: Duane Baker of Chickasha; Daughter and Husband: Gloria and Ronald Keeler of Eunice, Louisiana; Ten Grandchildren: Chad, Cory, Ronnie, Gary, Kevin, Jason, Aimee, Angela, Alicia, and April; Nine Great Grandchildren: Austin, Morgan, Zachary, Samantha, Hailey, Devon, Audry, Olivia, and Maxwell. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |

"Pat"Baker age 83 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Patsy was born the daughter of Norman R. Amstutz and Mary Jewell Johnston Amstutz on December 10, 1931 in Chickasha. She died on February 15, 2015 at her home in Chickasha. Patsy was born and raised in Chickasha. She attended North School, Chickasha Jr. High and graduated from Chickasha High School. During high school, she worked at S H Kress. After graduation, she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. A. C. Crose. She married Charles J. Baker Sr. on December 9, 1950 in Chickasha. They traveled to Ft. Lewis, Washington where her husband was in the United States Army for 1 ? years. They moved back to Chickasha in 1959. Pasty started working for J C Penney in 1959 and worked in various locations in the area for thirty eight years. She was a member of the Rancho Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Patsy was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Baker Sr.; daughter Patty Angela Baker; parents Norman R. and Mary Jewell Amstutz; brothers Charlie, Nick and William Amstutz; sister Emma Jewell. Survivors include son Charles J. Baker Jr., and wife Leisa of Tulsa; son Duane A. Baker and Anne Steninger of Chickasha; daughter Brenda Thompson and husband David of Oklahoma City; daughter Gloria Keeler and husband Ronald of Eunice, LA; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. Special thanks to Lifeline Hospice nurses and staff and caregivers for their wonderful care. |
