© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma August 30, 2004 July 18, 1920 ~ August 28, 2004 Funeral services for Elaine Sanders, 84, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Elaine Sanders was born July 18, 1920, in Alex, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Rueben T. and Zula Carmichael Towe. She died August 28, 2004, in Jacksonville, Arkansas She and Jasper Newton Sanders were married January 4, 1935, in Chickasha. They were both long time Chickasha residents. Mr. Sanders preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents. She was the last surviving member of the Reuben Towe family. Elaine has resided in Jacksonville, Arkansas, the past two years. She was an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Caregiving gave her much joy. Elaine has four surviving children: Bonnie Burns, widow of Frank Burns, of Panama, Oklahoma; Kenneth Sanders and wife, Dian, of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Bud Sanders and wife, Sherry Lavon, of Topeka, Kansas; Jack Sanders and wife, Sherry Gwen, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Pocasset Cemetery under the curection of Sevier Funeral Home. |
