© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma October 3 & 4, 2004 December 2, 1934 ~ September 30, 2004 Funeral service for Millie McCathern, 69, of Denison, Texas, former Pocasset resident will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Millie McCathern was born December 2, 1934, in Pocasset, Oklahoma, and died September 30, 2004, in Denison, Texas. Mrs. McCathern lived in Grady County most of her life. She graduated from Pocasset High School in 1952. Mrs. McCathern worked for Western Electric for 20 years, retiring in 1969. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby M. McCathern, Sr. in 2001. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Shelby and Kyla Way of Denison, Texas, Bobby and Asunta McCathern, Jr. of Dumfries, Virginia; one daughter, Tracey McCathern of Vernon Texas; grandchildren, Tracey and Kelly Childers, Chad Waldrop, Jeremy McCathern, Skyler McCathern; great grandchildren, Emma Childers, Tess Childers, and Hunter Waldrop; as well as beloved companions, Snickers and Molly Brown. "We love you and will miss you. We are glad you are no longer suffering and are at peace. You are one of a kind. There will never be anyone like you. Peace be with you and you can now fly with the angels." Interment will be in the Pocasset Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
