© Chickasha Express~Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, February 14, 1919 December 9, 1851 ~ January 31, 1919 Death of Mr L. B. Hardy Om Friday morniing about 5:30 o'clock the spirit of Mr L. B. Hardy took its flight and returned to its maker on the other shore. Mr Hardy was born in Hart County, Kentucky in 1851. He grew to manhood in that state and in 1883 was married to Miss Mattie Brow at Buffalo, MO. To this union were born seven children, six of whom survive, three sons and three daughters. Besides these children Mr Hardy leaves to mourn his loss a widow and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services were conducted at the home by the Rev Mr Herrington, pastor of the Baptist church at Tuttle. Mr Hardy had been a loyal and consistent Christian since early manhood, having joined the Baptist church at Green River, Ky in 1872. The body was laid to rest by loving friends and relatives in the Pocasset cemetery Saturday afternoon. ~~~~~~ The Hardy family was saddened by the death of Mr Lewis Hardy last Friday morning and funeral services were held at the home of Mr Hardy and the family followed the body to the Pocasset cemetery where the remains were laid to rest for the last farewell. |
