Larry Don Freed Sr
March 29, 1951 ~ August 30, 2019

Larry Don Freed Sr., age 68 of Chickasha, passed from this life on August 30, 2019.

Larry was born on March 29, 1951 in Redding, CA to Frank Albert and Ila [Jones] Freed. They moved from California to Oklahoma when Larry was 2 years old. He went to Choctaw High School and after graduation he attended Baptist Seminary. He met the love of his life, Beatrice Kay Humphrey, and the two were married on July 7, 1972. He worked as a truck driver before working in and out of the oil field since 1986. In 1986 Larry moved his family to the Pocasset area and ran a saltwater disposal for 13 years. During that time he also started a welding business with his son Frank called Double F Welding.

Larry was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Chickasha for many years. He enjoyed working on and racing cars, especially his Dodge Super Bee. He also loved anything outdoors including fishing, duck hunting and deer hunting and growing his own vegetables. When his children were younger he helped them raise rabbits for several years. He was also big into CB radios back in the day. He had them in his home and cars, and he and Beatrice carried the handles, "Lumberjack" and "Lumberjill".

He will be remembered as an easy going, loving teddy bear who was funny, loved to tell stories and enjoyed teasing others and laughing. Above all else, family was #1 to Larry.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sons: Adam Freed, Frank Freed II, and Larry Freed Jr; and brother: Albert Freed.
