Her death was caused by pneumonia, contracted from Spanish Influenza. On October 7th, 1905, she was married to Dave Davidson, at Bolivar, MO. To this union were born two children, Gomar, aged 12, and Murlene, aged 7, both of whom, together with the husband, father, mother, five sisters and three brothers are left to mourn the lloss of one who has always meant so much to them. She was converted when but 12 years of age, at Hopewell, MO, and united with the Baptist church, of which she remained a faithful and constant member until her death. Her religion was a part of her every day life and and she was never known to neglect her religious duties in giving of her time and means to the support of the church she loved so well. In her own home, her religious influence was brought to bear upon the members of her family. Having been born and reared in a home which was governed by the highest and noblest principles of Christian living, she brought before her own children citizenship, and young though, her children, the fruits of her lobor could already be seen. In her life she was obedient to God, true to her home in the noblest sense of the word, and loyal to her friends and associates. In passing away, she leaves a heritage far greater than all the wealth of the world — the heritage of a true Christian life, a devoted wifehood and motherhood. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev Luton of Pocasset. The burial was in the Pocasset cemetery. |
