Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Sunday, March 1969 August 10, 1906 ~ March 6, 1969 Services for Rube Blevins, 65, of 6909 N. Eastern, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Sherman Funeral Home with burial at 4:30 p.m. in Chickasha. Blevins died Thursday in University Hospital. Survivors include nine sons, Wayne, of the home, Ruben, Oklahoma city, Howard, Lawton, Frankie, El Paso, Texas, Jimmy, McAlester, Charles, Fort Polk, La., and Jackie, Gilbert, and Alvin, all of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Mrs. Doris Asbery Lawton, Mrs. June Ford, Elgin, Charlotte Blevins and Donna Blevins, both of Oklahoma City; a brother, R.A., Carnegie, and a sister, Mrs. Allie Lenville, Chickasha. |
Chickasha, Oklahoma June 2018 May 19, 1947 ~ June 15, 2018 Ninnekah: Barbara Sue Blevins, departed this life on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Chickasha at the age of 71. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Full Gospel Church in Chickasha, with Sister Alice Wendling officiating. Burial will be in the Pocasset Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 19 at 5:00 PM. Barbara was born Monday, May 19, 1947 in Turlock, CA, to Lester Guss Tate and Gloria Glen Nottingham Robison. She had lived in the Chickasha area most of her life after moving from Roswell, New Mexico. She married Johnny Pece in Juarez, New Mexico on September 17, 1963. They were married for 3 years before his passing on December 4, 1966. Barbara married Howard Walter Blevins in Lawton on May 4, 1967 and was married for 34 years before his passing in 2001. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, fishing, and dancing. She loved to take care of her grand babies and was an amazing cook that made excellent biscuits. She enjoyed Bible study's and was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Chickasha. Survivors include, boyfriend of many years, Lloyd Bouder, 5 daughters, Glenda L. Glass and Alvin Blevins of Oklahoma City, Alice Alexander and Donnie of Hinton, Crystal Gayle Blevins and Jeffery Newson of Roswell, NM, Loretta Lynn Blevins and Eddie Jackson of Roswell, NM, Debbie Parrott and James of Cement, 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Linda Roberts and Bob of Roswell, NM, Vickie Dunn of Roswell, NM, Twyla Johnson and Troy of MI, Joann Irish and Jeff of Roswell, NM. She is also survived numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her 2 husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Chris Blevins, oldest grandson, Christopher Lynn Glass, and 2 brothers, Terry Kirby, Raymond Brooks. Pallbearers will be: her grandsons. |
