© Chickasha Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, December 2, 1921, Page 10 May 10, 1863 ~ December 12, 1921 Mrs. Ada J. Easton died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John M. Osborn, living four miles northeast of Pocasset, December 12, 1921, after an illness of four months. She was born in Vinton, Iowa, May 10, 1863. She married G. F. Asbury at Lawsen, Missouri, September 16, 1880. To this union were born six children, all of whom are living, namely; Mrs. Nellie S. Osborn, Hervey Asbury, Mrs. Josephine Osborn, Mrs. Minni L. Osborn, Virgil G. Asbury and Willie S. Asbury. Five of them are living in and near Pocasset. Hervey Asbury lives in Kansas City. Mrs. Asbury lived in Lawson almost all of her life. After the death of her husband, Mr. Asbury, March 29, 1912, she was married several years later to John Easton. All of her children were at her bedside when she passed away. A great number of relatives and friends were present at the funeral. Rev. Leach of Minco officiated and gave a very consoling sermon. Interment was made in the Pocasset cemetery. |
