Oklahoma July 1917 September 1, 1840 ~ July 2, 1917 After an illness of six weeks, Anderson Randolph Angell passed away at his home early Monday morning. His death resulted from the hardening of the arteries and veins. Grandpa Angell, as he was called, was born September 1, 1840 at Retreat, Franklin county, Virginia. He was married in 1861 to Mary L. Kinsey, who died in 1908. There were born to them eight children, all of whom survive. Mr Angell was a Confederate Soldier, serving his country during the entire four years of war. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist church. For this memoriam many beautiful tributes to a well spent life could be written. In the association of friends and kindred, he made pathways brighter. It is not that death came when the tide of hope was at its highest, no, a life nearly four score years had already fulfilled its hopes and missions. The mortal has been transformed in to the spirit life. "Tis only a sleep, death between the world that is and the Beautiful Isle of Somewhere. Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday afternoon and interment made in the I. O. O. F. cemetery. Rev M. Leach of Minco had charge of the service. The music was furnished by a double quartet composed of Mr C. C. Childs, Miss Ura Fentress, Miss Maude Osborn, Miss Iva Curtis, Messrs Claud Daniel, A. W. Liles, R. R. Maxey and E. A. Garrett.
