Hobert Edgar "Tink" Sursa
Chickasha, Oklahoma ~ Hobert "Tink" Sursa, 67, died Friday, 6 February 1998. Graveside services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, 10 February 1998 in the Pioneer Cemetery with Rev. John Sursa officiating. Arrangements were by Sevier Funeral Home.
Mr. Sursa was born in Crosbyton and had lived in the Chickasha area for the past 20 years.
Tink served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War.
He was married to Audrey Brown in 1960 in Borger, Texas.
He had been a Mason since 1968, becoming the Worshipful Master of the Chickasha Lodge in 1997.
He worked in the oil fields of Texas, Utah, Louisiana and Oklahoma. In 1980, he began and supervised Tink Construction Co.
After retirement in 1995, Tink and Audrey refurbished the Agawam Gym and opened an antique shop named Agawam Mercantile.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Randy Sursa of Saginaw, Texas, Michael Sursa of Chickasha and Chris Sursa of Amarillo; a daughter, Vicki Sursa of Chickasha; two sisters, Charlene Dozier of Stinnett, Texas, and Reba Hunter of Gruver, Texas; three brothers, Johnny Sursa and Marvin Sursa, both of Stinnett, and Jim Sursa of Logan, N.M.; and six grandchildren.
