Martin Theadore Charlson

Funeral service for Martin Theadore Charlson, 89, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2005 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Martin Theadore Charlson was born December 25, 1915 at the family home in the Kechi Community. His parents were Ole Martin and Clara Eckles Charlson. Martin married Martha Threadgill on May 25, 1938 in Chickasha. They were married for 65 years. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2004.

Martin was a member of the Kechi Baptist Church when raising his family. He was currently a member of the Laverty Baptist Church. He retired from MGF Oil Company, formerly Little Nick Oil Company, after 41 years. He was a member of the Chickasha Elks Lodge, Chickasha Senior Citizens and Chickasha Round-Up Club. He loved country music and dancing.

Martin was preceded in death by: Wife: Martha; Parents; three brothers: Fred, Edwin and Lawrence Charlson.

Survivors include: one brother: Owen Charlson of Rush Springs; four children: Patsy Planz and husband Bill of South Elgin, ILL; Delores Davidson and husband George "Whistle" of Cement; Buddy Charlson and wife Lynn of Cement; Marlin Charlson of Ninnekah; 12 grandchidren: Jackie :Tootie" Planz of Indiana; David Davidson and wife Brenda of Verden; Bill Planz Jr and wife Kathy of Illinois; Martin "Marty" Planz of South Elgin, Illinois; Patti O'Grady and husband Jim of West Chicago, Illinois; Johnny Charlson of Cement; Danny Davidson and wife Leah of Owasso; Tina Dunn and husband Alan of Schaumburg, Illinois; Jessie "Sissy" Zepeda of Chickasha; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment will be in the Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
