Funeral service for Martha Florance Charlson, 82, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.
Martha Florance Charlson was born June 2, 1921, in Verden, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Palace Threadgill, and died March 17, 2004, in Chickasha.
She married Martin Charlson May 25, 1938, in Chickasha.
Martha was a member of Kechi Baptist Church when she was raising her family and taught Bible school and Sunday school. She was currently a member of the Laverty Baptist Church.
Martha worked at J.C. Penney and Liberty Drug Store before retiring because of her health. She was a member of ABWA, the Chickasha Senior Citizens, where she held several offices throughout the years. She also was a member of the Chickasha Round-Up Club.
Mrs. Charlson is survived by her husband, Martin Charlson of Chickasha; four children, Patzy Planz and husband Bill of South Elgin, Illinois, Delores Davidson and husband George "Whistle" of Cement, Oklahoma, Buddy Charlson and wife Lynn of Cement, Oklahoma, Marlin Charlson of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchldren.
Interment will be in the Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
