Harlen "Wade" Chambers
Funeral service for Harlen 'Wade' Chambers, 64, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at the Holy Name Catholic Church, Chickasha. Harlen Wade Chambers was born May 18, 1945, in Rush Springs, the son of Harlen Hollie and Hattie Dhybon [Sims] Chambers, and died Dec. 13, 2009, in Chickasha.
Wade served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Viet Nam War. He received a Meritorius Mast for single handedly maintaining a Communication Center under attack which was crucial for the success of a Marine Corp operation.
He owned several automobile paint and body shops during his life and operated a vehicle transport business when he retired.
Wade enjoyed spending time with his family at the lake house at Texhoma. Wade attended the Holy Name Catholic Church
.He was preceded in death by parents and one daughter, Tracy Lynn Carpenter. Survivors include Pat Best Chambers of Chickasha, 1 son and daughter-in-law: William Wade and Eileen Chambers of Chickasha, 1 daughter and son-in-law: Stacy Lee and Dusty Palmer of Chickasha, 6 grandchildren: Dusti Blain Palmer, Bryce Shelton Palmer, Kristyn Abreu, Alexis Skye Carpenter, Jennifer Carpenter and David Carpenter, 2 brothers: Grady Chambers and Jimmy Chambers, 1 sister: Jewel Frederick, His lifelong friend: Billy Brooks.
Interment will be in the Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
