© Minco Minstrel Minco, Oklahoma February 25, 1909 Eben Forbes One Tuesday morning about 11 o'clock Eben Forbes, who has been a constant and patient sufferer from cancer for so many months, died at his home in this city. Mr. Forbes had lived on a farm in Caddo county for a number of years, and he recently moved to town, on account of his physical condition and built a cottage on Third street, hoping that the change would be beneficial to his health. But all that could be done gave only temporary relief and death was the only end to his suffering. The funeral was held at the home Thursday moring, conducted by Rev. K.M. Mears, of the Methodist church, interment occurring in the Black cemetery, southwest of town. Mr. Forbes' son Ora was unable to attend the funeral he being very sick with measles. |
