Funeral service for Dolores Ann [Mitchell] Turpin, 69, of Chickasha, Oklahoma formerly of Apache, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Southern Hills Baptist Church, Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Dolores Ann [Mitchell] Turpin was born April 19, 1940 to J.C. and Katherine [Moore] Mitchell. She died January 31, 2010 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Dolores graduated from Apache High School in May of 1958. She was a waitress at the City Café in Apache, Ok while attending high school and after graduation.

She married Walter B. Turpin on September 27, 1958 and became a homemaker. She lived in Fletcher, Apache, and Ninnekah, Oklahoma as well as several places in Texas throughout her life span.

Dolores was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: Husband: Walter Brownell Turpin; Parents; 1 grandson: Joel Tehauno; 1 sister: Debbie Cast; 1 brother: Steve Mitchell.

Survivors include: 2 daughters and sons-in-law:, Tammy and Wade Phillips of Amarillo, TX, Janis and Wayne Fort of Apache, OK; 1 son and daughter-in-law:, Danny and Billie Turpin of Chickasha, OK; Brothers and sisters: Johnnie Charlene Turpin of Ninnekah, OK, Kenneth Mitchell of Blanchard, OK, Tommy Mitchell of Tuttle, OK , Ricky Mitchell of Newcastle, OK, Kathy Parker of Florida; Grandchildren: Shanna Tehauno, Allene Tehauno, Misty, Tamela and Sheena, Cole Turpin, Eric and Destani [Buchanan] Turpin; and 12 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
