Deborah Kay "Debbie" Jobe

Funeral service for Deborah "Debbie" Kay Jobe, 46, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Grand Assembly of God Church, Chickasha.

Deborah "Debbie" Kay Jobe was born November 8, 1960 in Clovis, New Mexico the daughter of Kenneth Jerome and Joyce [Nieto] Smith and died December 10, 2006 in Chickasha.

The four year battle with cancer has ended for Debbie. She fought a brave fight in which her family was proud. They find comfort and peace in the fact that she was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her determination and lust for life gave hope to everyone around her. She had an infectious laugh and a smile that could chase away any sour mood.

Debbie had lived in the Chickasha area since 1977. She graduated from Amber High School in 1979.

Debbie and Rick Jobe were married September 28, 1979 in Chickasha.

She worked as a secretary for Standley's Systems and also worked for Chickasha Public Schools.

Debbie was a member of the Grand Assembly of God Church. She took joy in teaching Missionites, a girl's group at her church, and singing specials in the services.

Debbie was preceded in death by: father: Kenneth Smith; one brother: Dean Smith.

Survivors include: husband: Rick Jobe of the home; one daughter and her husband: Amber and Chris Walsh of Tuttle; two sons: Chad Jobe of Chickasha; Russell Jobe of the home; mother: Joyce Smith of Chickasha; one sister: Marilyn Woods of Norman; three brothers: Kurtis Smith and wife Pam of La Porte, Texas; Jeff Smith of Houston, Texas; James Smith and wife Marty of Houston, Texas.

Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funral Home.
