Jamie Shawn Briscoe

Graveside services for Jamie Shawn Briscoe, 31, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Ninnekah, will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, in the Ninnekah Cemetery with Kim Hayes officiating.

Jamie Shawn Briscoe was born Feb. 10, 1978, in Chickasha the son of Jamie Jantz and Starri Ann Briscoe.

He died Nov. 11, 2009, in Tucson Arizona.Shawn grew up in Ninnekah and attended Ninnekah Public Schools.

He graduated from Thunderbird Military School, in Pryor, Okla.

He joined the U.S. Army, where he served five years as a Para Trooper where he served in Kosovo, Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Russia, Kuwait, Afghanistan and others. He was honorably discharged in 2000.

Shawn was attending Pima County Community College in Tucson.Shawn loved his family and he enjoyed spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Lincoln Jantz and David Briscoe; and one uncle, David Leon Briscoe.He leaves behind his mother, Starri Ann Briscoe, of Arizona; sister, Crystal LeeAnn Briscoe, of Duncan; father, Jamie Jantz, of Chickasha; three grandmothers: Peggy (Camp) and Arthur Brown, of Arizona, Pat Briscoe, of Bray, Oklahoma and Lois Jantz, of Chickasha; several step-brothers; step- sister; and many cousins and extended family.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
