Lee S. McCoy
April 1847 ~ May 27, 1916

The grim reaper of time has again visited our neighborhood and gathered home a silvery sheaf and made sad our hearts as we report the death of Lee S. McCoy.

Lee S. McCoy was born in Alabama April 1847. He became a Christian at 20 years of age.

He moved to Oklahoma in 1908 and made his home part of the time with his nephew Walter Griffin.

He had been in feeble health for some time, but not really sick until about 15 minutes before his death which supposed to have resulted from heart disorder.

He died May 27, 1916 at 2:35 pm. He was 69 years of age.

So far as is known his only living relatives are two nephews and two nieces.

Funeral services were held at the Naples cemetery Sunday. Rev Cox preached the sermon.

Those who mourn his loss have the sympathy of the community.
