© The Chickasha Express-Star Monday, January 4, 2007 Essie Mozelle [McKee] Williams Funeral service for Essie Mozelle Williams, age 78, of Chickasha will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Verden. Rev. Rodger Willis will officiate and Rev. Johnny Wray will assist. Essie Mozelle Williams was born the daughter of Oliver McKee and Estelle Smith McKee on April 6, 1928, in Elmore City, Oklahoma. She died on January 3, 2007, in Chickasha. Essie graduated from high school in Cox City, Oklahoma. She then moved to Chickasha and attended Oklahoma College for Women. After receiving her teachers certification, she began teaching at Fairview School northwest of Verden. In 1950, she married Clyde Williams, and they made their home northwest of Verden. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Verden where she taught bible school. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Desie, Elmer, and Gale McKee, and one sister, Vida McKee. Survivors include: Daughter: Misty Williams of Hydro; Brother: Milton McKee of Wichita Falls, Texas; Sister: Thelma Dutton of Lindsay; Numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the McRay's Verden Funeral Home. |
