Funeral service for Dorothy Ann Woodward, age 59 of Cement, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2007 in the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate and Rev. Edward Whitley will assist.
Dorothy was born the daughter of Granville Wayne Cossey and Laura Rachel Cossey on January 25, 1948 in Anadarko. She died on July 2, 2007, in Chickasha.
Dorothy lived in Anadarko until 1957, then moved to Cement. She married Kermit Keith Woodward on February 20, 1981, and they made their home in Cement where she lived for 25 years. During this time, she worked at Cement High School, Hardee's, and the Cyril Nursing Home, while her husband worked as a teacher for the Newcastle School System, retired June 2007. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Granville and Rachel Cossey, and her nephew, Brock Wayne Cossey.
Survivors include: Husband: Kermit Keith Woodward of the home.
Daughter and husband: Trisha and Mark Green of Apache Junction, Arizona.
Daughter and husband: Inita and Paul Denton of Bitburg Airbase, Germany.
Son and wife: Calvin and Amy Sales of Alexandria, Nebraska.
Son and wife: Keith and Sheila Woodward of North Richland Hills, Texas.
Daughter: Amber Smith of Coppell, Texas.
Brother and wife: Bo and Jennifer Cossey of Cement.
Niece: Kalie Cossey of Cement.
Nieces: Brooke and Mackenzie Ramey of Cement. Grandchildren: Ashley Woodward, Lyssah Green, Joey Denton, Jordon Sales, Ryan Woodward, Brittany Smith, Chad Denton, Brandon Sales, Lenne Green, Kaylan Smith, Parker Smith, Andon Sales.
Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
