Graveside service for Thelma Ruth Schlehuber, age 66 of Cement, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2009, in the Laverty Cemetery. Rev. Greg Brooks will officiate.
Thelma Ruth was born the daughter of Sherman Adamson and Flora Roden Adamson on February 14, 1943, in Ft. Worth, Texas.
She died on October 29, 2009, in Chickasha.
Thelma lived in many places during her life including Lawton, Oklahoma, Arizona, California, and Missouri.
She married Bryan Schlehuber on November 1, 1960, in Lawton. Thelma and her husband settled in the Laverty community in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Adamson, brother, Robert Adamson, and two sisters, Flora "Doll" May and Denise Adamson.
Survivors include: Husband: Bryan Schlehuber, Daughter and Husband: Ann and Cecil Lane, Daughter and Husband: Jessica and Jimi Sanchez, Son and Wife: Bart and Lisa Schlehuber, Daughter and Husband: Sheri and Ron Shifflett, Son: Jason Schlehuber, Seven Grandchildren: Jasmine, Hayley, Skyler, Heather, Alex, Jacob, and Samantha, Mother: Flora Adamson, Four Sisters: Marjorie Davis, Rosie Gray, Pat Kuhlman, and Mary Cagle. Six Brothers: Onis, Johnny, Sherman, Mike, James, and Billy Adamson. Numerous Other Family.
Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.There will be no viewing.
