Funeral service for Ethel Louise Cocheran, age 87, of Chickasha will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Doug Sikes will officiate.
Ethel Louise Cocheran was born the daughter of Louis Theodore Grimm and Alice Elizabeth Inman Grimm on February 27, 1920, in Salem, Missouri.
She died on October 5, 2007, at the Glenhaven Retirement Village in Chickasha.
Ethel grew up in Salem, Missouri.
She married Hollie Cocheran on May 12, 1948 in Anadarko, and they moved to the Laverty community. She lived in the Laverty area until 1980, when she moved to Chickasha.
Ethel was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, James Mickey Cocheran, one sister, Edith Springman, and one brother, Robert Grimm.
Survivors include:Daughter and Husband: Edna and Earl Chandler of El Reno; Daughter and Husband: Jean and Al Tetta of St. Augustine, Florida; Son and Wife: Dee and Donna Cocheran of Chickasha; Grandson and Wife: Rusty and Wendi Chandler; Grandchildren: Eric, Kristi, and Kylee Chandler; Grandson: Jason Cocheran; Great-Granddaughter: Emily Chandler; Sister: Naomi Dillon of Illinois.
Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery.
