Arthur "Junior" Carter Jr.
Funeral service for Arthur (Junior) Carter, Jr., 77, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Cowboy Country Church on Norge Road.
Junior Carter was born January 26, 1933 in Marlow, Oklahoma the son of Arthur Carter, Sr. and Rosie Lee [Barton] Carter. He died December 9, 2010 at his home in Ninnekah.
Junior lived in Marlow before moving to Chickasha. He moved to Ninnekah in 1970. He owned and operated Jr's Quick Stop and had also owned and operated three filling stations. Junior was a member of the Elks Lodge and a charter member of the Eagles Lodge. He was a member of The Cowboy Country Church where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by: Parents 1 son: Larry Carter. Several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: 2 sons: Nicky Carter and Barbara Carter of Ninnekah, OK, Gary Carter and Donna Buckner of Lake Texhoma, 2 daughters: Linda Logan of McCloud, OK, Donna Mitchell and Dale Mitchell of Shawnee, OK, 6 grandchildren: Sherrie Graham, Tabatha Konechney, Jessica Carter, Cody Carter, Krystal Carter and Tera Logan, 4 great grandchildren: Courtney Graham, Carter Logan, Kyla Konechney, Jordan Konechney and Two on the way and many friends.
Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
