James Dee Arthur "J. D." Wilson

Graveside service for J. D. Wilson, 87, of Duncan, will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2002, at the Laflin Cemetery in Alex, Oklahoma.

J. D. was born November 4, 1914, in Alex to James Ulis and Tommie M. "Julian" Wilson and died September 22, 2002, in Duncan.

He worked for Gulf Oil Company in Port Arthur, TX, and moved to Duncan in 1947 and went to work for DX Sunray Refinery for 25 years, retiring in 1972. Then worked for City of Duncan for 6 years.

J. D. and Hazel Cleo Dennis were married on December 14, 1940, in Chickasha. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2002.

Survivors include: 2 sons: Kent and "Tommie" Wilson of Duncan, and Jerry and "Debbie" Wilson of Duncan; 1 brother: J. E. Wilson of Chickasha; 3 sisters: Naomi McClure of New Iberia, Louisiana, Joyce Allen of Moore, and Anita Stidham of Chickasha; 3 grandchildren: Shelley Wilson of Houston, Texas, Sara Wilson of Duncan, and Lori Wilson of Oklahoma City; and 7 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Laflin Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
