Leon Lucion Pearson
Graveside service for Leon Lucion Pearson, 82, of Alex, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 13, 2005, at the Laflin Creek Cemetery. Leon Lucion Pearson was born June 5, 1922, in Alex, Oklahoma, the son of Joseph Luther Omer Pearson and Neva Sue (Rutledge) Pearson, and died January 10, 2005, in Chickasha.
Mr. Pearson lived in Grady County most of his life. He lived in Midwest City from 1955-1975. He worked for Tinker Air Force Base as an airplane mechanic for over 30 years. He later moved to Alex and worked for OTASCO.
Mr. Pearson served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Imogene Pearson and two brothers, Eustice Pearson and Alvin Pearson.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharlene Pearson of Alex, Oklahoma; two brother, Manuel Pearson of Chickasha and Calvin Hafton Pearson of Perris, California; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in the Laflin Creek Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
