© Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Marlow, Oklahoma June 2011 May 1, 1932 ~ June 28, 2011 Caleb Franklin Lindsey, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his home in Lindsay. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2011, at the Lindsay First Baptist Church with Rev. Bart Lujan and Rev. Bill Love officiating. Burial will be in the Killgore Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow Caleb was born Sunday, May 1,1932 in Cox City, to Clovis Abijah Lindsay and Uldean Lola [Holcomb] Lindsey. Caleb spent most of his life in the Cox City area. He graduated from Cox City schools and attended Cameron and Oklahoma A & M University in Stillwater where he studied agriculture science. Caleb married Eula Mae Leach on May 29, 1955 in Stillwater. Caleb was a farmer and rancher and spent much of his time riding his horses and working his cattle. He enjoyed hunting, especially quail hunting and playing basketball outdoors. He enjoyed visiting with others and spreading the word. Caleb loved his family and enjoyed telling his grandkids ghost stories. Caleb was a long time member of the Cox City Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday school teacher and superintendent. Survivors include, wife, Eula Mae Lindsey of the home, two sons, Kirk Lindsey of the Philippines, Mitch Lindsey and wife Kelli of Lindsey, two daughters, Sherri Nipper and husband Arlen of Spring Hill, KS, Dani Tilley and husband Kevin of Houston, TX, 10 grandchildren, Derek Tilley, Shandi [Tilley] Horstman, Kaci Tilley, Chelsea Nipper, Nikki Lea Nipper, Josh Lindsey, Macy Lindsey, Jake Lindsey, Emeth Lindsey, Hezekiah Lindsey, great granddaughter, Kenzie Grace Tilley, mother, Uldean Lola Lindsey of Marlow, two sisters, Thelma Moon and husband Reed of Casper, WY, Neta Jean Sinclair of Marietta, OK, numerous nieces and nephews. Caleb was preceded in death by his father, Clovis Abijah "Bige" Lindsay. Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Children's Home or Cox City Baptist Church Building Fund. |
