© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, October 9, 2009 Vincent Norman Rock Jr May 13, 1934 ~ October 5, 2009 Public visitation and viewing for Vincent Norman Rock ,Jr., 75, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2009, with the family present, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Vincent Norman Rock ,Jr. was born May 13, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Vincent Norman Rock Sr. and Ellamai [Jordan] Rock. He died October 5, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He and Elnora Jean Barbee were married August 24, 1957 in Chickasha. Vincent was executive director of the Boy Scouts of America. He served for 42 years with the Boy Scouts in Nebraska, California, Arizona and Texas. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Vincent was also a member of Buffalo Sam's Club of Lawton. Vincent was preceded in death by: Parents, 1 daughter: Margaret Ann Carrier. Survivors include: Wife: Elly Rock of the home,1 son: Greg Rock and wife, Judy, Brother-in-law: Tom Barbee and wife, Jan, 5 grandchildren: Alexandra Rock, Amber Johnston, Richard Holley, Jordan Elizabeth Carrier and Jacob, Vincent Carrier, 4 great grandchildren: Preston, Taylor, Brianna, and Kinsley, and numerous cousins. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Holy Name Section, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
