Patricia Ann Terry Dardeau
September 5, 1940 ~ October 4, 2008


Funeral Mass for Patricia Ann Terry Dardeau, 68, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 7, 2008, in the Holy Name Catholic Church.

Patricia Ann Terry Dardeau, loving mother, and devoted grandmother worked across the country in the nursing field for 42 years. She left this life on Saturday, October 4, 2008.

She was born at the Chickasha hospital in 1940, to Cecelia Pauline "Pat" Gibson Terry and Virgil Lee "Bill" Terry. She was raised in Chickasha and attended St. Joseph's Academy and graduated in 1958. She attended Saint Anthony's Nursing School, graduating in 1961.

Soon after, she pursued a career in the military, achieving the rank of First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, she became a homemaker, living in Laredo and Lubbock, Texas, where she began to raise a family.

She returned to Oklahoma in 1974 and began working at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. Shortly thereafter, she was offered a position by a former hospital administrator and moved to Virginia, where she worked as Chief Nursing Officer for Clinch Valley Medical Center for more than 20 years.

After formal retirement, she worked as a nursing Executive Consultant, throughout the South and Southwest US. She then traveled across the country, visiting family, and friends before she returned to Oklahoma to finally retire in Chickasha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pat Terry, and brother, Jim Terry.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nichole Meadows and Tim of Swansboro, North Carolina; son, Arthur T. Dardeau Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Karen Dardeau of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren Cecelia Caroline and Sean Terry Dardeau, Zachary Ross, Vivian Gail, and Natalie Cecelia Meadows; sisters-in-law Berna Dean Terry of Chickasha, Frances Dardeau-Rielley of Lafayette, Louisiana; nieces and nephews Bill Terry, Mary Terry, Suzanne Terry, Michael Terry, Pat Terry, Paul Terry and Bernadette Faulkner, Mike Dardeau, Suzie Dardeau, Kelly Dardeau, and Doug Dardeau, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Wake services will be held at 7 pm Monday, October 6, 2008, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Internment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
