Tuttle, Oklahoma August 5, 2005 December 9, 1951 ~ August 2, 2005 Robert "Bob" Leigh Weaver of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died on 2 August 2005, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born on 9 December 1951 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Robert Louis Weaver and Margaret "Peggy" Paisley Weaver. He moved with his family to Riverside, California in 1957. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1969, and received training as a basic infantryman at Fort Ord, California. He received his advanced technical training as a radio operator with top-secret clearance at Ft. Deven, Boston, Massachusetts and was stationed in Misawa, Japan at the Army Security Agency. He then transferred to Korea with the Army Security Agency. Bob received an Honorable Discharge with 11 years of Army Service at the rank of T Sergeant. He was awarded two Good Conduct National Defense Awards, Armed Forces Expedition-Ary, ASA Badge, M-14 and M-16 Marksmen. Following his military service Bob returned to Riverside, California where he started his own business. Bob took a new career direction and joined the Hart/Hanks Corporation as a Printing Press Operator. Bob transferred with the company to Oklahoma City to work at the Buyer's Guide. He began to work at Globe Marketing Services in 1991 as a printer/purchaser. He met Kathy Coward on a blind date and they were married pm 25 December 1992. His passion was auto racing, especially Outlaws and NASCAR. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert Louis Weaver and Margaret Weaver. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Weaver, and two brothers, John Weaver and James Weaver. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, 5 August 2005 at Demuth Funeral Home with interment at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, Oklahoma. |
