© The Tuttle Times September 21, 2006 February 6, 1924 ~ September 16, 2006 Funeral services for Hilbert "Bert" Sprague, age 82 of Newcastle, Oklahoma were held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 20, 2006 in Sowers Memorial Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home in Tuttle. Hilbert "Bert" Sprague was born February 6, 1924 in Douglass, Kansas. He died Saturday September 16, 2006 in Tuttle, Oklahoma. He was the son of Orville and Lillie [Crumpton] Sprague. He married Nellie Siegfried February 18, 1957 in Albany, Oregon. Mr. Sprague served in the U.S. Marines in World War II. He had worked as a furnace operator for a rare metals company in Albany, Oregon. He came back to Oklahoma in 1976 and had lived in Newcastle since 1999. His parents and two brothers Archie and Herman Sprague preceded him in death. Survivors include: His wife Nellie Sprague of the home in Newcastle; stepson: Aaron Mitchum of Tuttle; two stepdaughters: Karren Craw of Port Angeles, Washington, Charlotte Dahl of Colville, Washington; one sister: Tessie Taylor of Portland, Oregon; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; numerous nephews and nieces. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. |
