Singletary, 70, of Tuttle, will be held at 1:30 pm Monday in the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church of Tuttle, with Rev. Bill Murr officiating. Singletary was born September 7, 1907, in Durant. He died Friday in Grady Memorial Hospital. Singletary moved to Caney and Alvin before moving to Tuttle in 1932. He married Miss Rose Lee Rex on October 4, 1924, in Caddo, Oklahoma. Mr. Singletary was a service station operator, retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Singletary is survived by his wife, Rose, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Eula Aasa, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Maudie Bongiovannia of Woodstown, N. J., Mrs. Lucille Schimier of Hayward, Calif., and one son, Ray Singletary of Tuttle; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. Note: I doubled checked the survivor's names. |

Singletary, 75, Tuttle, were held Wednesday, 11/16/1983, in the First Pentecostal Holiness church with Rev Laverne Rex officiating and Rev Ben Parker assisting. She was born July 14, 1908 in Collinsville, TX, and passed away Sunday, November 13, 1983 in Grady Memorial hospital. She and Montie George Singletary were married 10/4/1924 in Caddo, OK. He preceded her in death March 21, 1975. They came here from Albin, OK. She is survived by 1 son, Ray Singletary of Tuttle, 4 daughters, Mary Lou Schoimer of Hayward, Calif, Marie Burdick of Tuttle, Maudie Bonjiovanni of Woodstown, N.J., & Shirley Reece of Hawaii, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Granville Rex of Fremont, Calif, and Joe Rex of Los Angeles, Calif. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle. |
