He was born in Eufaula on June 18, 1944 and died Wednesday, May 30, 1991, in Oklahoma City. He moved from Eufaula to Blanchard and attended Blanchard school. He then moved to Tuttle and coached Little League baseball for many years. He was married to Bobbie Steelman, August 2, 1968, in Tuttle. He was preceded in death by his father, Eric Shatwell and 1 brother, Ronnie Shatwell. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie, 3 sons, Michael, Mark, & Mace, all of the home, 2 daughters, Mari & Mandi, both of the home, his mother, Pauline Shatwell of Blanchard, 3 sisters, Trisha Stephenson of Tuttle, Jeanne Lemons of Tulsa, & Debbie Gaines of Blanchard. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle. |
© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma September 15, 2004 December 25, 1946 ~ September 6, 2004 Funeral services for Bobbie Jane Shatwell, 57, of Tuttle were held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2004 at the Heritage Family Church, Tuttle. Bobbie Jane Shatwell was born December 25, 1946 in Alex, Oklahoma the daughter of Grady and Estelle [Brashear] Steelman. After a courageous battle with cancer, she went to be with her Lord on September 6, 2004. Bobbie grew up in Tuttle, Oklahoma where she graduated from Tuttle High School. She attended Heritage Family Church. Bobbie was very active in the Little League while her children were growing up, and was sure to carry on the tradition while keeping score at her grandson's baseball games. She was a loving person always giving of herself. Bobbie was a paper hanger by trade, but a lady of many talents. She enjoyed sewing, making flower arrangements, decorating, as well as watching a good game of OU football. She and Eddie Farrell Shatwell were married August 2, 1968, in Tuttle. He preceded her in death May 30, 1991. Bobbie was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: Three sons: Michael Shatwell and wife Carrie of Tuttle, Mark Shatwell and wife Jennifer of Tuttle, Mace Shatwell of Moore; two daughters: Marci Shackelford and husband Brandon of Tuttle, Mandi Stuckey of Tuttle; nine grandchildren: Falon Shatwell, Gavin Stuckey, Jason Nelson, Peyton Shatwell, Garrett Stuckey, Parker Shatwell, Kade Shatwell, Regan Shatwell, and Brady Shackelford all of Tuttle; two brothers: Reford Steelman and wife Barbara of Newcastle, Dewayne Steelman of Irving, Texas; three sisters: Neva Richter and husband George of Seattle, Washington, Brenda Miller and husband Charley of Yukon, Beckie Turner and husband David of Amber; Brothers~in~law and sisters~in~law: Trisha and Gary Stephenson of Tuttle, Charles and Jeanie Lemons of Blanchard, Debbie Gaines of Oklahoma City; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. |
