© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma Thursday, July 23, 2009 November 29, 1925 ~ July 14, 2009 Funeral services for Douglas "Doug" Roberts, 83, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Sowers Memorial Chapel in Tuttle. Douglas "Doug" Roberts was born November 29, 1925 in Blanchard, the son of Andrew Birt and Lillie Mae [Hicks] Roberts. He died July 14, 2009 at his home in Tuttle. Doug was a wonderful, loving husband and father. He will be missed dearly by his family. Doug graduated from Bridge Creek High School in 1944. He and Willie "Mae" Bolen were married Dec. 21, 1946 in Oklahoma City. Doug served in the U.S. Army from Dec. 19, 1944 to Oct. 30, 1946 and the U.S. Air Force April, 1951 to August, 1952. He worked for Tinker retiring May 9, 1975. He was preceded in death by his parents, A. B. and Lillie Roberts, two brother, Ernest and Doyle Roberts and sister, Lela Shrum. Survivors include his wife, Mae Roberts of the home, children, Pam Lesko and husband Ed of Guthrie, Lavon Stone and husband Dean of Tuttle, Debbie Kuhlman and husband Ricky of Tuttle, Larry Roberts and wife Kathy of Tuttle and Don Roberts and wife Cyndi of Mustang, grandsons Doug and Jacob Talley, Scott and Chad Moore, Kirk and Kolby Kuhlman, Tommy Roberts, Kodi Roberts and Tanner Jones, granddaughters Sarah Preston, Kourtney Houts, Elizabeth Roberts, Heather Mantooth and Haley roberts, Lyndzi French and Megan Lewis. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |

She passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014, in Yukon, OK at the age of 88. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle. |

Roberts of Tuttle were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, with Rev. Gary Rick, pastor of New Testament Baptist Church, officiating. Services were under the direction of Yanda & Son Funeral Home of Yukon. Margaret died on Saturday, October 15, 2005, after a lengthly illness. She was born April 5, 1926, in Seminole to William F. and Ollie Ann Woods. She married Charles R. Roberts on May 9, 1964 in Stilwell, Okla. She is survived by her husband, Charles of Tuttle; one daughter, Sharon Holsey of Mustang; one son, Rick Hayden of Salt Lake City, Utah; seven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. |

Layden is survived by his parents, Amy and Kodi; grandparents Sondra Baltzell, Tawana and Mike Riley, Don and Cyndi Roberts; great grandparents James and Wanema Burney, Doug and May Roberts; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish his memory.
