Barbara Jane Podraza
June 28, 1956 ~ April 27, 2019


Barbara Jane Podraza, 62, of Bridge Creek, died Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Tuttle. The daughter of Michael James Podraza and Alice Pauline [Berger Shaw, she was born June 28, 1956, in Anderson, Texas.

Barbara worked as a paint contractor and was Christian in faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing softball, restoring old furniture, and watching western movies. Barbara loved to garden and enjoyed sharing the vegetables from her garden with family and friends. She was a great cook and everyone always enjoyed her fried chicken, potato salad, and chicken and dumplings. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Joshua Caldwell, and Dalton Myers; and a brother, Michael Podraza.

Barbara is survived by one daughter, Angela Caldwell and Chris Hoaglin of Bridge Creek; four sons, Johnny Caldwell, James Caldwell, and Justin Caldwell, all of Bridge Creek, and Jeremiah Wells of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren, Jenifer Caldwell, Jared Caldwell, Jessica Caldwell, Shyann Caldwell, Rhett Hoaglin, Aubrey Caldwell, Jameson Caldwell, Justin Caldwell, Jr., and Jacelynn Caldwell; one great grandson, Judge Caldwell; one sister, Shirley Podraza of Illinois; one brother, John Podraza of Wapanucka; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 3, 2019, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
