© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma March 17, 2004 October 23, 1925 ~ March 13, 2004 Funeral service for Hubert Ross "Pat" Patterson, age 78 of Tuttle, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the Tuttle Church of Christ. Otho Rogers of Melrose, New Mexico, will officiate. Service is under direction of Binyon Funeral Home, Tri City Area, Blanchard. Pat was born the son of Mattie Lou Moore Patterson and Arthur Eldon Patterson on October 23, 1925, at Carnegie, Okla. He died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Tuttle. He married Mary Ann Skinner on May 2, 1944, at Flecther, Okla. To this union four sons were born. Pat graduated from Fletcher High School. He attended Cameron University in Lawton. During World War II he served in the United States Navy. Following the war he built and operated several dry cleaners around Oklahoma. He moved his family to Tuttle in 1954 from Ponca City. Pat spent many years working at Tinker Air Force Base and retired from there in 1984. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. After his retirement from Tinker, he drove a school bus for the Tuttle Schools for many years. Pat was a member of the Tuttle Church of Christ. He spent much of his time reading and memorizing scriptures of the Bible. Pat enjoyed walks with his neighbors in Jefferies Addition and loved going out for fried chicken dinners. He cherished his family most of all. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Eldon Patterson, and two sons, Ronald Rex Patterson in 1987 and David Ross Patterson in 1995. Survivors include hiw wife, Mary, of the home; son and his wife Larry and Dawna Patterson of Tuttle; son and his wife Steve and Tamara Patterson of Yukon; daughter-in-law and her husband Judy and Darral Barnett of Cherokee; brother Wilburn Patterson of Moore; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery of Tuttle. Arrangements are under direction of the Binyon Funeral Home, Tri City area, Blanchard. |
