© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma September 8, 1999 May 25, 1912 ~ September 9, 1999 Funeral services for Roy Beil Osborn, 87, of Tuttle, will be held Wednesday, September 8, 1999, at the Tuttle United Methodist church. Roy Beil Osborn was born May 25, 1912 in Niles, OK, the son of E.C. & Effie [Beil] Osborn. He died Saturday, September 9, 1999 in Oklahoma City. Mr Osborn had lived in the Tuttle area for 80 years. He graduated from Tuttle High school and attended Hill's Business college. He & Ida Kuhlman were married March 2, 1936 in the Osborn home, west of Tuttle. He was a farmer and also owned a battery business and sold windmills. He also worked for the ASCS. Mr Osborn was a member of the Tuttle United Methodist church, where he held many offices, including Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School teacher. He donated the land for the church and was chairman of the building committee. He was also a member of the Methodist Men's and the Oklahoma Farmers Union. He served on the Tuttle school board and was a class sponsor. He helped build the old Tuttle gymnasium, along with several other school buildings and helped with the football field. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Glen Osborn, 2 sisters, Essie Parman & Florence Hardesty. Survivors include his wife, Ida of the home, 2 sons & daughters-in-law, James & Mary Ann Osborn of Tuttle and Leon & Rosemary Osborn of Tuttle, 1 daughter & son-in-law, Janice & Carl Kennedy of Seneca, South Carolina, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home of Tuttle. |

Ida Ernestine Kuhlman Osborn was born April 26, 1914, near Cogar, Okla., and died on Saturday, August 2, 2003, in Tuttle. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. |
