Hal was born December 2, 1958 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was the 3rd son of six sons born to Padgett Ogburn and Elizabeth [Been] Ogburn. Hal spent his childhood years growing up in California. His family later moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma where he spent his teenage and high school years. Hal learned how to work hard at a young age, growing up with five brothers. After high school he worked nearly 10 years in the construction business with his brother Terry. At the age of 29, he fell in love and married Marcene Dittman. They were married on March 5, 1988 in Oklahoma City and remained living there for several years. In 1994 he moved his family to Tuttle where together he and Marcene raised two daughters, Somer and Tessa. While living in Tuttle, Hal was a member of the True Oak Fellowship Church and worked for nearly 20 years for the City of Oklahoma City as a Unit Operations Supervisor. Hal loved.... He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his dogs. He loved strangers. He loved deeply and was loved deeply. He was affectionately called "Big Daddy" and was known for his big bear hugs. Hal knew no stranger. He was the kind of man that made everyone in the room feel special and loved. His family was his pride and joy and he was his happiest when he was surrounded by all his loved ones. There was no greater husband, daddy, or Papa in the eyes of his family. You couldn't help but smile when watching him play with his grandbabies. Hal's father and mother, Pat and Liz and two brothers, Lester and Keith left this earthly world before him. He leaves behind; His wife, Marcene of the home; Mother-in-law, Pat Been of Tuttle; Two daughters, Somer Ogburn of Muskogee, OK, Tessa Jaco and husband Kameron of Tuttle, Two grandchildren, Emery and Brennan of Tuttle; Three brothers, Terry Ogburn and wife Donna of Chickasha, Teddy Ogburn and wife Donna of Broken Arrow, James "Beau" Ogburn and wife Sherry of Broken Arrow; One sister-in-law, Donna Ragsdale of Broken Arrow; Many nieces, nephews and cousins who all adore him.
