November 29, 1897 ~ May 4, 1993


Funeral for Edgar E. Miller, 95, Tuttle, will be at 10:30 am Friday, May 7, 1993, in Tuttle United Methodist Church with Rev. Emory Mason officiating.

He died Tuesday, May 4, 1993. He was born in Grove County, Kan., on November 29, 1897 to Wilford E. and Kennie Irene Miller.

Mr. Miller came to Oklahoma on a lumber wagon with his family at the age of 11 years, settling near Canton.

He graduated from high school in Waynoka. He also graduated from Northwestern College, Alva, in 1920. He moved to Tuttle in 1926, teaching school and serving as a principal.

He also served as a private in the U. S. Army.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Tuttle, Tuttle United Methodist Church and Retired Educators.

He married Rossie H. Hogue on Sept. 3, 1932, in Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and one brother.

Survivors are his wife, Rossie of the home; three sons, Charles Miller of Tuttle, Joe Miller of Owasso, Ray Miller of Shreveport, La.; two daughters, Pat McFall of Norman, Berline Miller of Michigan; one sister, Grace Collins of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
