© Wilson-Little Funeral Home Newcastle, Oklahoma Saturday, March 17, 2012 May 16, 1955 ~ March 17, 2012 Thomas Leroy Leird, Jr., 56, of Bridge Creek, died Saturday, March 17, 2012 in Oklahoma City. The son of Artie [Branham] and Thomas Leroy Leird, Sr., he was born May 16, 1955 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Thomas was veteran of the U.S. Navy. Thomas enjoyed reading books, but his greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Artie [Branham] Leird. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Theresa Leird of Bridge Creek, and Laura Synnott and husband Keith of Norman; a son, Zach Leird of Bridge Creek; three grandchildren, Corbin Hodges, Tatum Leird, and Emily Leird; two sisters, Carolyn Koger and husband Clifford of Tuttle, and Angela Johnson and partner, Kim of Midwest City; two brothers, Ron Leird and wife Sandy of Bridge Creek, and Tim Leird of Shawnee; his former wife, Mary Sanders of Newcastle; his father, Thomas Leird, Sr. of Arizona; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church with Reverend Bruce Christian officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle.
