© McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service Mustang, Oklahoma August 2012 September 13, 1927 ~ August 4, 2012 Gerald R. "Jerry" Krohn, age 84, died Saturday, August 4, 2012. Jerry was born on September 13, 1927, in Joliet, Illinois, to Reinhart & Lucinda Krohn. He served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years during WWII and the Korean War as an army engineer, a mechanic on the Nike Ajax Missiles and later as an army recruiter. After retirement, he tended to his horses. He was member of the Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge and American Legion. The love of his life was his wife of over 60 years, Joan Scheidt [d. 2008]. He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Gary; his parents; and sister, May Parker. He is survived by daughter, Janet Anderson and husband Andy; sons, Bob and wife Winnie, and Jeff and wife Sharon; also nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at McNeil's Funeral Service, Mustang, OK, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, Oklahoma. |
© McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service Mustang, Oklahoma June 2008 October 7, 1929 ~ June 25, 2008 Lady Joan Krohn, age 78, died Wednesday June 25, 2008 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born October 7, 1929 in Joliet, IL to John and Hildred [McGee] Scheidt. She grew up in Lockport, IL. She worked for Borden's in Plymouth, WI for seventeen years until her retirement in 1991. In 1993, she and her husband Gerald moved to Tuttle, OK. She belonged to Daughters of the Nile Adoram Temple #95, was a member of Ladies Auxillary VFW Post 9265 and was also a member of Liberty Christian Fellowship Church, Tuttle. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Jackie. She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years Gerald, of the home, three sons Gerald Jr. and wife Winnie of Essex, IL, Jeffery and wife Sharon of OKC, OK and Gary and wife Dee of Moore, OK, and one daughter Janet Anderson and husband Andy of Shawnee, OK She is also survived by one sister Betty Lukanich and husband Jack of Sarasota, FL, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Memorials may be made to the Shrine Transportation Fund in care of the Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday July 1, 2008 in The Chapel of the Good Shepherd, McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK with interment following at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, OK. |
© McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service Mustang, Oklahoma July 2008 Gary Roger Krohn Sr He was born August 19, 1962 in Milwaukee, WI to Gerald "Jerry" and Joan Scheidt Krohn. He grew up in Wisconsin and was a graduate of Plymouth High School in Plymouth, WI. He worked as a chef as a young man and then attended welding school. He was an accomplished welder and worked many years in the pipeline industry, much of the time doing high risk repair welding on gas and ammonia lines. He had been a resident of Moore for the last seven years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan only three weeks ago. Survivors include his wife Demitra (Dee) of the home, his father Gerald (Jerry) Krohn of Tuttle, one son Gary Krohn, Jr. of Moore, three daughters Tisha Estes and husband Ben of Springfield, MO, Nichole and Kylea Fay Krohn both of the home. Also by two brothers Gerald R. Krohn, Jr. and wife Winnie of Essex, IL, Jeffrey Scott Krohn and wife Sharon of OKC and one sister Janet Lea Anderson and husband Andy of Shawnee. Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK with interment following in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Oklahoma.
