Jenkins, 44, of Tuttle, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Victory Christian Center, Oklahoma City. Gerald L Jenkins was born July 22, 1959 at Sculthorpe Base in Norfolk, England to Howard L. and Jeannette M Jenkins and died November 19, 2003 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He spent most of his childhood living on numerous Air Force bases. He graduated from high school in Joaquin, Texas in 1977. Later in life, Gerald lived a short time in Oklahoma City before moving to Tuttle with his family in 1990. He remained there until he passed from this life on November 19, 2003. Gerald worked in the fire protection field for 26 years and was employed by Control Fire Protection in Oklahoma City at the time of his death. Gerald a loving and caring father, was dedicated to his family. He touched the lives of all those whom he came in contact with through his kindness and ever present sense of humor. He was a member of Victory Christian Center in Oklahoma City, and had a profound love for God. Gerald enjoyed motorcycles, football, collecting antique fire protection memorabilia and playing the guitar. Survivors include: Children: Kayla J. Jenkins and Austin P. Jenkins of the home ; former wife and best friend: Vicki R. Jenkins of Tuttle; parents: Howard 'Bob' L. and Jeanette M. Jenkins of Oklahoma City; 1 sister: Terry M. Arbogast and husband, Jack C., of Edmond, Oklahoma; niece and nephew: Jamie Barger and Ryan Arbogast of Edmond, Oklahoma; 1 brother: Bobby Jenkins and wife, Carol, of Oklahoma City; many aunts, uncles and a host of loving family and dear friends. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
