John Peter "Pete" Jansen
December 25, 1899 ~ May 11, 1921


John Pete Jansen was born near Tecumseh, OK, December 25, 1899 and died May 11, 1921 in the hospital at Chickasha, where he had been rushed for medical attention.

He was 21y,4m,16d of age. His illness was only 2 days duration.

When our country became involved in the World War, Pete enlisted in the Army on July 4, 1917 and served as artilleryman.

He was only 6 hours at sea enroute to the scene of action when the armistice was signed, and later received an honorable discharge.

He leaves an aged father and mother, 1 half-brother and sister.
