"Peewee" Ivie October 1, 1903 ~ July 22, 1987 Funeral service for Leonard "PeeWee" Ivie, 83, Tuttle, was held Friday, July 24, in the First Baptist church with Rev Larry Steverson officiating. Mr Ivie was born October 1, 1903 in Franklin, OK and passed away July 22, 1987 in Oklahoma City. He and Freda Baumann were married August 27, 1932 in Dale, OK. Mr Ivie was a school bus driver and also carried the mail before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, & 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, Freda, 3 sons, Reford Ivie of Tuttle, Freddie Joe Ivie of Blanchard, & Frank Ivie of Tuttle, 8 grandchildren, & 4 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gary Hovis, Ed Roberts, Dale Garrett, Charles Havery, Vernon Plumlee, & Tom Yeakley. Interment was in Fairview cemetery under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle. |
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma February 16, 2010 Gerald Lee Ivie August 31, 1933 ~ February 16, 2010 Gerald Lee Ivie, 76, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away February 16, 2010. He was born August 31, 1933 in Amber, OK to Oscar and Olivene [Cooper] Ivie. Gerald proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Firefighter for the Oklahoma City Fire Department and retired as Fire Marshall. Gerald was a classic car enthusiast and also enjoyed having coffee with his buddies at Perry's Restaurant. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ivie; daughters, Lori and Christy Ivie; brothers, Don, Dewayne and Randy Ivie; sister, Janice Jeffries; a host of nieces and nephews; and countless friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. A Wake Service will be 7:00 PM Friday at Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel. Mustang, Oklahoma November 5, 2010 Reford Leon Ivie December 18, 1933 ~ November 5, 2010 Reford Leon Ivie, age 76, died Friday November 5, 2010 at his home in Mustang. He was born December 18, 1933 at Amber, OK to Leonard C. and Freda M. [Baumann] Ivie. He grew up in Tuttle, was a graduate of Tuttle High School and lived most of his adult life there. He moved to OKC in 2002 and to Mustang in April of 2010. He served in the US Army and retired after over 25 years service at Tinker AFB in 1990. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church in Oklahoma City. Reford was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy of the home, two sons Mathew Ivie and wife Amanda of Mustang, Michael Ivie of OKC, one daughter Mary Howard and husband Chris of Blanchard and five grandchildren Jeff, Aaron, Cole, Ethan and Meagan. Also by two brothers Fred Ivie and wife Shirley and Frank Ivie all of Tuttle. Services held Monday, November 8, 2010 at Faith Fellowship Church, 900 N. May Ave., OKC. The daughter of Harley Lee Garrett and Agnes Ophelia [Fort] Garrett, she was born April 13, 1940, in Comanche, Oklahoma. Shirley married Freddie Joe Ivie on July 4, 1958, in Bridge Creek, Oklahoma. She owned and operated a beauty shop for many years and was a Baptist in faith. In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed buying and selling antiques. She was a great cook and everyone loved her baked beans. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Nancy McConnell; and three brothers, Benny Garrett, Dale Garrett, and Bud Garrett. Shirley is survived by her husband, Fred Ivie of Bridge Creek; two daughters, Tonya Carollo and husband, Phillip, of Tuttle, and Teia Mack of Honolulu, Hawaii; one son, Todd Ivie of Blanchard; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Knox and husband, D.K. of Houston, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Donna Garrett of Blanchard, Loretta Garrett of Blanchard, and Sharon Garrett of Blanchard; one brother-in-law, Larry McConnell of Blanchard; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. |

She & Frank Ivie were married May 23, 1964 in Tuttle. Mrs Ivie was a member of First Assembly of God church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Sondra Earleen Jones. Survivors include her husband, Frank, of Tuttle, 2 sons & their wives, Madison & Vicki Ivie of Blanchard and Barry & LaDonna Ivie of Tuttle, her twin sister, Aline Osborn of Tuttle, 1 brother & his wife, Reford & Kathie Ivie of Tuttle, a daughter-in-law, Galia Ivie of Tuttle, and 2 grandchildren, Kaleb Ivie & Taelor Ivie. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home of Tuttle. |
