© Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Marlow, Oklahoma December 2008 December 30, 1934 ~ December 2, 2008 Marlow: Troy Bob Howard, 73, Marlow, OK, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Marlow. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 5, 2008, at the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, OK, with Rev. Gene Jorgenson and Rev. Frank Barnes officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma. Troy was born Sunday, December 30, 1934 in Stephens County, to Herbert Howard and Nellie [Taylor] Howard. Troy attended school at Marlow and Duncan. He married Lora Dell McCall on August 15, 1953 in Comanche, Oklahoma. He was a self employed truck driver for over 50 years. He lived in Oklahoma City and Tuttle before moving to Marlow 5 1/2 years ago. Troy was a member of Gatlin Baptist Church. Survivors include, Wife, Lora Dell Howard of the home,1 Daughter, Donna Shorter and fiance' Jimmy Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK, 2 Grandchildren, Ricky Shorter and wife Kara of Pauls Valley, OK, and Kerri Richardson of Oklahoma City, OK, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Skyler Shorter of Pauls Valley, OK, Bret Shorter of Pauls Valley, OK, Curtis Shorter of Pauls Valley, OK, and Ashlyn Richardson of Oklahoma City, OK,1 Brother, Eugene Howard and wife Vivian of Chickasha, OK, 3 Sisters, Betty Barnes and husband Frank of Duncan, OK, Blanche Jorgenson and husband Gene of Marlow, OK, and Loretta Pilgrim and husband Bud of Duncan, OK, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, W.H. Howard, 3 great grandsons, Roy, Lee, and Carey. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital. |
