Lena June [Street] Honeycutt
June 14, 1928 ~ May 28, 2018

Lena June [Street] Honeycutt, age 89, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, went to be with her Savior on May 28^th , 2018, in her home after many years battling a lung disease. Lena was born a twin on June 14, 1928 in Johnson City, Tennessee to Landon A. Street and Lucy Mae [Brummitt] Street. Lena was raised in Johnson City and attended Henry Johnson Elementary and Science Hill High School.

She married Jake H. Honeycutt of Green Mountain, North Carolina in 1951 and they were married 61 years before his passing in 2011. Not long after their marriage, they were called to ministry and traveled from the east coast to the west coast evangelizing and pastoring, preaching the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ wherever they were. That was the most important thing in Lena’s life, and that was the legacy she wanted to leave, her faith in God and for people to be looking forward to the return of the Lord. Lena had many qualities and skills, but wife, mother and servant of God were all that mattered to her. Lena helped establish Cross Life Fellowship Church in Tuttle, Oklahoma where she served faithfully. She loved being at Church and that’s where she found the most peace.

Lena is remembered as a woman of faith, who was truly a lady. She was well loved by her family and friends, mentioning how much she loved them all before she passed away. She shone the light of Jesus in a dark world and was a true Soldier of the Cross. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, shopping, going to garage sales, and spending time with her grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, Otis, infant, Earnest and Carole Street, Fred and Bonnie Street, Clifford and Ethel Street, Joe (her twin) and Ruth Street, Clyde Street and one sister Osa Belle Street Simmons and her husband, Cecil Simmons, as well as her husband Jake H. Honeycutt and one son, John Marcus Honeycutt whom she was caregiver for 14 years before his death. Lena was the last survivor of the Street Family.

Lena is survived by one son, Stephen T. Honeycutt of Alex, Oklahoma; one daughter, Susie Wietelman and her husband, Tommy, of Tuttle, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Jason, Nathan, Tim, Tracie, J.J., Shayleen, LeAnna, Rachel, Amber, and Zachary; numerous great-grandchildren that were thought of and loved greatly; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

We would like to thank her doctors; Dr. Todd Clapp and Dr. Aarun Devakonda, and Encompass Hospice for the compassion and skilled care given to her and the entire family during her time of need, and to the many friends who prayed and showed love to her during her illness. She will be greatly missed, not only by family and friends, but also by her church.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 1, 2018, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
