July 1, 1925 ~ July 27, 2007 Funeral service for Hardin Gwindle Greene age 82 of Tuttle will be held 11:00 am Monday July 30, 2007 in the Sowers Memorial Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home in Tuttle. Greene was born July 1, 1925 at Caddo, Oklahoma. He was the son of Hardin Clinton and Lilly [Rex] Greene. He died Friday July 27, 2007 at his home in Tuttle. He and Dorothy Cecil were married September 11, 1947 in Norman, Mr. Greene served with the U.S. Marines during World War II. He had worked as an Electronic Technician for 30 years at Tinker Field. He was a School Board member for 9 years in Tuttle. He also supported many School activities including the Booster Club. His parents, brother Rex Darrel Greene and sister Bobbie Jean all preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Greene of the home in Tuttle; three sons: Michael Greene and wife Sharon of Cooper, Tx; Mark Greene and wife Sheri of Oklahoma City; Marty Greene and wife Debbie of Bixby, Okla.; three sisters: Ruth Douglas of Tuttle; Patsy Merritt of Minco; Pebble Hovis of Ft. Cobb Lake, Okla ; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery Tuttle Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, of Tuttle. |

Greene, 77, Tuttle, will be at 1:30pm Wednesday in the Pentacostal Holiness church of Tuttle with Rev Ben Parker and Rev Damon Burrows officiating. Mrs Greene was born May 4, 1905 in Collinsville, TX, and passed away early Monday evening in Saint Anthony hospital, Oklahoma City. She married Hardin Greene on 1/1/1921 in Caddo, OK. She was the youngest child of Mr & Mrs Joseph Rex and the last survivor of that family. She was a member of the Pentacostal Holliness church of Tuttle. She is survived by her husband, Hardin, 2 sons, Hardin G. Greene of Tuttle and Rex Darrell Greene of Tuttle, 3 daughters, Ruth Douglas of Tuttle, Patsy Merritt of Minco, and Pebble Hovis of Moore, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier Tuttle funeral home. |
